All of our horses come from neglectful situations. We are always amazed to see, despite what they have been through, how trusting and kind they are. Because the pictures from their lives before are often difficult to see, we have included them on separate pages, which can be accessed through a button next to the horse.
The horses in our care need sponsors. If you would like to help us rehabilitate them, you can follow the link below to a list of needs.

Sundance

*Currently under training with Mississippi Horses and will be featured in the Safe Horse Auction*
Sundance came to us as part of a neglect case with another horse who has since been adopted. She was very emaciated but has fully recovered. She is a
16 year old mare who has experience in events. She would make an
excellent play day horse for an advanced young rider. She has excellent ground
manners, and leads, ties, loads, and stands nicely for the farrier. She is low in
herd rank. She has had a few hours under saddle with a trainer while
in our care. We can't say enough good things about this mare. More pictures are available under the "Before and After" tab. If you are interested in adopting Sundance,
a contact form is available at the bottom of the page!

winchester

Winchester came to us as a rescue transfer of sorts. Someone got him with the intention of rehabilitating him, but it was too much for them to handle. He is 7 year old gelding who was extremely emaciated when he came to us. He is a very, very big boy. He isn't 100% recovered yet, but will be ready for adoption soon. He is calm and very sweet.
We will be trying him soon to see how much he knows under saddle.

Jagger

*Currently in training with Mississippi Horses and will be showcased at the Safe Horse Auction*
Jasper/Jagger is a 12 year old gelding who came in as part of an extreme neglect case with Sundance. Recently returned from foster, he needs a refresher course under saddle. He is nervous about loading in a trailer, but regular hauling and a little patience will help. He is sweet on the ground, but is insecure on his own. Prefers to have a buddy nearby. We look forward to seeing what this boy can do!

Moose

Moose is a 5 year old stallion. He is stunted from years of malnutrition, and looks like a yearling. He will be gelded as soon as his body can handle it. He and Fiona came from a neglect case where another horse was dead in the barn. He is a sweet boy, but will need training and a little ground work as he can be a little pushy. He is a good size for youth riders, and perhaps with training will make a good 4H prospect.
Fiona

Poor Fiona is about 16 years old, and expecting. Our vet suspects her upper jaw might have been broken when she was younger (picture of her teeth in before and after pictures). She came in with Moose in a neglect case in which a horse was dead and rotting in a barn. Pictures do not really do justice to either horses' neglect. She is a very sweet and docile mare. Because of her extreme malnutrition, she will be carefully monitored throughout her pregnancy and birth. It will be a long time before she is ready for adoption.
